Carrying Case

Project Description

ACRYLITE® acrylic sheet used to help promote 42 Below vodka. A traditional billboard type promotion was considered but instead a tool for the sales people was created with guareented impact. [More information ...]

The design solution is practical (carrying product), cool and professional. Its point of uniqueness being it was entirely transparent and promoted the product the moment the salesperson stepped out of the car: product promotion as they walked along the road, brand impact as they placed the Briefcase on the bar. This was entirely fitting with the 42Below brand, creating intrigue at the bar for the bar manager, and the opportunity for a sales pitch. International salespeople have also provided excellent feedback on the success of the product both in bars and as an attention grabber at airports. The Briefcase carries four 750ml bottles and can be adapted to cradle four smaller 500ml bottles by changing the insert. The 750ml solution is deceptively heavily – due to the product and the thick acrylic, hence the creation of the 500ml option. With the exception of the handles and latches the product entry was constructed in February 2007, is entirely made from ACRYLITE acrylic and ACRIFIX™ Specialty Bonding Agents. The design has no graphics and components are kept to a minimum, with the case moulded to best reflect the form of the bottles. Cases are fabricated and assembled by both John Darling and Leigh Davy.
